True Cadence Takeover at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park

True Cadence took over the main stage at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park on the 2nd of August 2022, celebrating the 10 Years of the Olympic and Commonwealth Games.

The “Takeover” which took place from 4pm-5:30pm on the day, showcased some well-received performances from 4 participants of our current live performance programme The Expression Project, our founder Emmanuel Ebokosia who performs under the moniker Manny Loveankh and our facilitators/professional musicians Valntna and Tiwa King.

Manny was initially contracted by the event organisers to perform as a solo act before negotiating for True Cadence to get involved as an organisation, giving our young people the opportunity to grace the Main Stage.

One of our young people, Katie Mitton, 15, was featured in Ipswich Star newspaper following her performance, describing it as an “amazing experience”.

True Cadence has had an eventful year so far, and we’re excited to see what else we achieve by the end of 2022.
