Led by experienced songwriters and industry professionals, this collaborative programme took participants from simply crafting lyrics to producing a fully recorded, mixed, mastered, and release-ready EP.

Delivered simultaneously in both Barking and Dagenham and Tower Hamlets, the programme brought together young people aged 16–25 to write, record and release original music with purpose.

The Coast 2 Coast Masterclass offered:

• A platform to collaborate with fellow songwriters and enhance your songwriting skills

• Opportunities to showcase your talent through music promotion and exposure to industry professionals

• Personalised, one-to-one mentorship from experienced figures in the music industry

• The chance to network, learn, and build lasting professional relationships

• Live performance opportunities at various venues to refine your stage craft

• The opportunity to create a music video that captured the creativity and teamwork of participants

• An end-of-programme celebration and TC certificate of completion recognising each participant’s success

Together, the participants collaboratively began putting together an EP titled Cause & Effect, featuring songs that explored and promoted social issues, alongside a music video for one of the lead tracks.

Although this programme is no longer running as a regular offer, we occasionally bring it back as a one-off project. You may also see the Coast 2 Coast name used for externally commissioned versions of the programme.

Currently, we’re continuing that creative spirit by producing new songs for our upcoming Cause & Effect EP.
