For the second year in a row, True Cadence has been recognised as an official winner at the 2024/2025 Prestige Awards. Last year, True Cadence was named Music Education Non-Profit Organisation of the Year; this year, True Cadence has been named Music Education NPO of the Year once again, but also Music Education Service of the Year, making them a multi-award winner in the London and South East England area.
The Prestige Awards span a wide variety of industries, and were ‘launched to celebrate the businesses and individuals that consistently offer excellent products and services.’ Each year, the Prestige Awards team seek out innovators and market leaders as candidates for their awards, so to be recognised two years in a row is a testament to the continued success and hard work of the True Cadence team.
This year, all Prestige Awards winners were invited to the Gorse Hill Hotel in Surrey for a Presentation Day ceremony. At the event, we sat down with Emmanuel Ebokosia, better known as Manny Loveankh, founder and CEO of True Cadence, for a quick chat about what these awards mean for the organisation.
Manny tells us, ‘While we don’t work for the recognition, the recognition is extremely important. It brings in investment, it brings in trust. Without that recognition and without that trust, people will go to other organisations, even if they’re further away from them. Being a non-profit organisation as well, sometimes we don’t have the promotional budget to really push ourselves, so having something like this for people to see on our website is super important: it broadens horizons.’
We’re working with young people and we’re also working for them…
True Cadence has brought music education to the young people of East London through a number of exciting programs this year such as their Music Industry Masterclass, Music Therapy sessions, and the production of their very own True Cadence EP. But True Cadence is always looking to the future, and thinking about how they can take their services to the next level; Manny tells us that some current goals for the organisation are to get the Music Industry Masterclass accredited, work with institutions to have True Cadence’s services incorporated into curriculums, and to expand beyond East London.
What is the ultimate goal for True Cadence though?
‘The ultimate goal is to solidify True Cadence as a viable route into formal education. We want to successfully embed the Music Industry Masterclass into formal education whilst still maintaining the community aspect of it, ensuring that the curriculum is taught in a way that is both digestible and relatable. We hope that young people, who may have struggled to re-engage with formal education, see us as a way to learn about an industry that is very much close to their hearts,’ says Manny, with passion and verve.
And it seems that passion is what really lies at the heart of True Cadence. As a small team, their love for music shines through in everything that they do, and it’s great to see their services recognised and appreciated by the Prestige Awards team for two years running now.
The ultimate goal is to solidify True Cadence as a viable route into formal education and meaningful opportunities in the music industry.

To leave you with a final quote from Manny, “We work with young people and for them, and it would be a disservice to both them and ourselves not to provide the best opportunities possible.”
