Do you like to help young people when they’re feeling lost? Do you feel your empathy is your strength and would like to share the good energy with those who could use someone positive to talk to?
Working in the creative industry is especially hard to sustain good condition of mental health, as the work involves overcoming plenty of barriers within yourself. Furthermore, the youth of today are already facing multiple intersecting barriers within themselves, which can often lead to stress, anxiety, depression and a lack of self-worth. We want to find someone who is ready to assist our young creatives in coping with any struggles that could stand in their way of progressing further with their dreams and goals.
As a Wellbeing Practitioner, you will have a chance to:
- Help young people understand their strengths and gain more confidence in their purpose
- Guide them in finding answers within themselves
- Practise positive psychology coaching
- Learn about young people’s Psyche
- Meet interesting people
- Share some smiles and positive energy with those who might not have close ones to speak to or who live far from home
What do we offer?
We offer flexible hours to any work and/or study schedule and references to those who had a positive input on our participants’ development upon completion of the volunteering period, giving a valuable experience on your CV.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for people who can commit a minimum of 10 hours of their time during the course of a programme (6-12 months). This could be divided into 30-45 min sessions and can be delivered online OR in person. Ideally, you should be able to commute to London for some of the sessions that require a more hands-on approach.
