Our Holiday and Food (HAF) programmes give children and young people aged 8 to 15 the chance to explore music, creativity and self-expression while enjoying free, healthy meals during school holidays.

Funded by the Department for Education (DfE) through local councils, the HAF scheme provides enriching activities and nutritious food for children who receive benefit-related free school meals.

At True Cadence, we bring this to life through music, songwriting and performance workshops led by professional artists. Each session helps participants build confidence, connect with others and develop valuable creative and social skills in a safe, supportive environment.
All facilitators are DBS-checked and trained in safeguarding, ensuring every child feels welcomed, encouraged and safe.
Sessions are grouped by age, so activities remain fun, challenging and appropriate for everyone.

Please note: Holiday and Food (HAF) programmes run subject to available funding from the Department for Education and local councils. When funding isn’t available, paid or alternative creative sessions may be offered.

Cost
The programme is free for eligible participants, funded by the Department for Education via local councils.
Low-cost spaces may be available for others, subject to availability and local funding conditions.
